DAO NGUYEN

Born 1943 in Saigon, Ðao Mui (new name Ðào Nguyên)
graduated from Gia Ðinh Academy of fine arts in 1965.
He is rather a versatile painter, who can paint on any medium, such as oil on canvas, lacquer painter, watercolour
on silk and carved on sendalwood. But Ðào Nguyên is well-known for his silk works in which he
represents with tricks of style the Saigon woman's universe, as demonstrated by the series of portrait reminiscent
of times gone by.
